Privacy Policy

Overview
Kryndor is a local-first mobile game (offline chess combined with card tactics) for iOS and Android. The core game runs entirely on your device and does not require an account or sign-in.
This Privacy Policy explains what information Kryndor handles, how it is used, and the choices you have. It applies to the Kryndor mobile app. By using Kryndor, you agree to this policy.
Who we are
Kryndor is developed and operated by CodedZion (“we”, “us”, “our”), the data controller for the limited personal data described below.

Information we collect
1. Data stored only on your device
The core game runs entirely on your device and does not currently send gameplay or settings data to our servers. In future updates we may store additional data locally (such as preferences or progress); this policy will be updated if that changes.
2. Information you choose to provide
If you contact us or submit a card suggestion from within the app, you voluntarily send us your name, your email address, and your message (including any card name or description for suggestions). This is transmitted securely over HTTPS to our support infrastructure (hosted at codedzion.com) so we can read and reply to you.
3. Update check
To prompt you to update outdated builds, the app periodically (at most once every seven days) requests a list of supported app versions from our server. This request sends only technical information needed to serve it (such as the app version and standard network metadata like your IP address); it does not include your name or email.
4. Purchases
In-app purchases are processed by Apple App Store or Google Play, not by us directly. See In-app purchases below.
5. Advertising data
Kryndor shows ads, which involves limited data collection by our ad partners. See Advertising below.
How we use information
- To run the game, save your progress, settings and unlocks
- To respond to your feedback, support requests and suggestions
- To notify you about required app updates
- To provide and measure advertising
- To process and restore in-app purchases
- To detect, prevent and address abuse, fraud or technical issues
Advertising
Kryndor displays advertisements (for example, interstitial ads between matches). We use AppLovin MAX as our ad mediation platform, which may serve ads from partner ad networks such as Google AdMob and Meta Audience Network.
To deliver, cap and measure ads, these partners may collect and process limited data, including:
- Mobile advertising identifiers and device identifiers
- Approximate location derived from your IP address
- Device and app information and ad-interaction events
Removing ads. You can purchase the “Remove Ads” in-app purchase to stop showing ads.
Consent (EEA, UK and similar regions). If you are in the EU, UK, or a region with similar rules, a pop-up will appear the first time you open the app asking whether you agree to personalized ads. If you say no, you will still see ads but they will not be tailored to your interests. You can change your choice at any time in the app’s settings.
iOS App Tracking Transparency. On iPhone and iPad, Apple shows its own separate pop-up that says “Allow Kryndor to track your activity?” before any ad partner can link your activity across other apps or websites. Tap Ask App Not to Track to refuse. You can also change this at any time in Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking.
You can reset or limit your advertising identifier at any time in your device settings (iOS: Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking / Apple Advertising; Android: Settings → Privacy → Ads).
In-app purchases
Kryndor offers non-consumable in-app purchases, including “deck copy editing” and “Remove Ads”. Payments and receipts are handled entirely by Apple App Store or Google Play under their own terms and privacy policies. We do not receive or store your full payment details. We may receive purchase status (e.g. whether a product was purchased or restored) needed to unlock content.
Third-party services
We rely on the following third parties:
- Apple App Store / Google Play — app distribution and in-app purchase processing.
- AppLovin MAX and mediated ad networks (e.g. Google AdMob, Meta Audience Network) — advertising. See AppLovin’s Privacy Policy.
- Our support API (codedzion.com) — receives the update-check request and any feedback you submit.
Legal bases (GDPR / UK GDPR)
Where the GDPR or UK GDPR applies, we process personal data on these bases:
- Performance of a contract / legitimate interests — to operate the game, process purchases and check for required updates.
- Consent — to respond to feedback you choose to send, and to serve personalized ads where consent is required. You may withdraw consent at any time.
- Legitimate interests — to secure the app and prevent abuse.
Data retention
- On-device data remains until you delete it in-app or uninstall the app, which clears it from your device.
- Feedback messages (name, email, message) are kept only as long as needed to handle your request and our records, and are then deleted. You can ask us to delete them sooner.
- Ads and purchases are retained by the relevant third parties under their own policies.
Security
Network requests (update check, feedback, purchases) use encrypted HTTPS connections. Kryndor has no user accounts, and your gameplay data stays on your device. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, but we take reasonable measures to protect your information.
Children's privacy
Kryndor is a general-audience strategy game and is not directed to children under 13 (or the minimum age required in your region). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us personal data (for example, through the feedback form), contact us at privacy@codedzion.com and we will delete it.
App permissions
On Android, Kryndor uses these permissions:
- Internet — update check, feedback submission, in-app purchases and ads.
- Vibrate — haptic feedback during gameplay.
- Billing — Google Play in-app purchases.
App backup to your cloud account is disabled. On iOS, the app may request App Tracking Transparency permission only if an ad partner needs it; you can decline.
Your rights
Depending on where you live (including the EEA, UK and California), you may have the right to access, correct, delete, or restrict the processing of your personal data, to object to processing, to data portability, and to withdraw consent. Because most data lives only on your device, uninstalling the app removes it. For feedback data we hold, email privacy@codedzion.com and we will respond as required by applicable law. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.
International data transfers
Our service providers may process data in countries other than yours. Where required, such transfers are made under appropriate safeguards (such as standard contractual clauses).
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the “Effective date” above and, for material changes, provide notice within the app or on this page. Continued use of Kryndor after an update means you accept the revised policy.
